When someone requests money from you through a Peanut link, you have several ways to pay them. This guide will walk you through all the available payment methods.
Overview
Paying someone with Peanut means sending digital money to the person who requested it. You can pay in different ways depending on your preferences and needs:
- From your bank account - Send money to bank account provided in the UI and receiver will get money to their peanut wallet
- From an exchange - Use Binance, Lemon, Ripio, and other exchanges
- From your digital wallet - Use Metamask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, and other wallets
- Mercado Pago - Coming Soon for users in Latin America
Method 1: Pay from Bank Account 🏦
Best for: Converting your cash directly to digital money for the recipient
How it works:
- Send money to bank account provided in the UI and receiver will get money to their peanut wallet
- Send directly to the recipient
- Supports multiple countries and currencies
Requirements:
- Minimum amount: $10 USD and 50 MXN for Mexico payments
- Maximum amount: $101,000 USD
- Identity verification may be required depending on your situation

Currently Available:
- Europe (SEPA): All European Union countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland (EUR)
- United States: US bank accounts with routing numbers (USD)
- Mexico: CLABE accounts (MXN)
Coming Soon:
- Latin America (LATAM): Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and other Latin American countries
Steps:
- Click on the request link
- Choose "Bank"
- Select your country (currently Europe/SEPA, United States, or Mexico)
- Complete identity verification if required
- You'll see bank account details:
- This will include account number, bank name and other relevant details
- You'll also be provided with a deposit message, when sending money to the provided bank account you'll need to enter this deposit message otheriwse the funds won't reach the receiver and will be refunded back to your bank account
- Once money is sent to the bank account, recipient will receive it in their penaut wallet (usually takes minutes, but can take up to 1-3 business days)
When Identity Verification is Required:
The verification process depends on who requested the money and your account status:
✅ No Verification Needed - Easiest Option:
- When: The person who requested money has already completed identity verification
- Who: Anyone can pay without verification (even without a Peanut account)
- Process: Simply enter your bank details and send the money using the requester's verified status
⚠️ Basic Information Required:
- When: You have a Peanut account and the requester is verified
- Who: Existing Peanut users
📋 Full Identity Verification Required:
- When: The person who requested money has not completed identity verification
- Who: All users (both new and existing)
- What you'll need: Government-issued ID, personal information, and verification process (Peanut never stores any documents)
- Time: Usually takes a few minutes to complete
🚀 Express Option - Saved Bank Accounts:
- When: You've used Peanut bank payments before
- Benefit: Skip re-entering bank details and speed up the process
- Process: Simply select from your previously saved bank accounts
Method 2: Pay from Exchange 🏢
Best for: Users who have funds on exchanges and want to send directly
How it works:
- Use your existing exchange account to send digital money
- Supports major exchanges like Binance, Lemon, and Ripio
- Generate a deposit address and send from your exchange
Supported exchanges:
- Binance - World's largest exchange
- Lemon - Popular in Latin America
- Ripio - Growing exchange platform
- Other exchanges - Most major exchanges are supported
Steps:
- Click on the request link
- Choose "Exchange or Wallet"
- Select "Exchange"
- Choose your exchange or select "Other exchanges"
- Follow the instructions to send from your exchange
- Copy the provided deposit address
- Go to your exchange and send the requested amount to the address
- Confirm the transaction
Important notes:
- ⚠️ Double-check the deposit address! Incorrect addresses may result in lost funds
- Make sure you're sending the correct digital currency
- Some exchanges may charge withdrawal fees
- Transaction usually completes within minutes
Method 3: Pay from Digital Wallet 💼
Best for: Users who have digital wallets like Metamask, Trust Wallet, or Rainbow
How it works:
- Connect your digital wallet directly
- Send digital money from your wallet to fulfill the request
- Supports network conversion if needed
Supported wallets:
- Metamask - Most popular browser wallet
- Trust Wallet - Mobile-first wallet
- Rainbow - User-friendly Ethereum wallet
- Other wallets - Most wallets that support WalletConnect
Steps:
- Click on the request link
- Choose "Exchange or Wallet"
- Select "Digital Wallet"
- Connect your wallet (you'll be prompted to approve the connection)
- Review the payment details
- Select your preferred digital currency and network (if different from default USDC on Arbitrum)
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
- Wait for the transaction to complete
Network conversion:
When paying with a different currency or network than requested:
- The system automatically finds the best conversion route
- You'll see the minimum amount the recipient will receive after conversion
- Small differences may occur due to exchange/slippage rates
- Transaction fees may apply depending on your network and token selection
Important notes:
- ⚠️ Make sure you have enough balance in your wallet for both the payment and transaction fees
- Network conversion may take a few extra minutes to
- You'll see a "Min Received" amount for network conversions
Method 4: Pay with Mercado Pago 🇦🇷
Status: Coming Soon
Best for: Users in Argentina and other Latin American countries
This payment method will allow you to:
- Pay directly from your Mercado Pago account
- Convert local currency to digital money
- Use familiar payment infrastructure

- Verify you have the correct/complete link

Exchange/Wallet payment issues?
- Double-check the deposit address is correct
- Ensure you have enough balance for both payment and fees
